Toba Samosir Regency is a regency in North Sumatra. Its seat is Balige. The regency covers an area of 3124.40 square kilometres and according to the 2000 census it had a population of 304,015 .[1]
Two scientists have been exploring the Eden Park tourist forest in Sionggang village in Toba Samosir Regency for 4 years. They have successfully identified almost 200 new species of forest orchids. The area is an orchid paradise, which we can found thousands of other orchid species.[2]
